Message Outline
The Need for Christian
Reformation in the Southern Movement
By reason of the
multitude of oppressions, they make the oppressed to cry: They
cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. But none saith, Where is God
my maker, who giveth songs in the night; Who teacheth us more than the beasts
of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? There they
cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. Surely
God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. Job
34:9-13
These verses demonstrate
plainly that the situation we are facing today with our current usurping
central government is not at all unusual. We see from the text that
people have been oppressing one another from as far back as the days of Job,
which most Bible scholars agree is the oldest book in the Bible. One
would think by now, especially with all of the talk these days about
"equality" and "civil rights," that a civilized people
would have learned and applied some effective means of preventing tyranny and
oppression in the civil realm. Our Founding Fathers came up with a
system of government that was designed for just that purpose, but that system
was abandoned with the destruction of the Southern States following the War of
Northern Aggression and the abandonment of the Constitution during the
Reconstruction Era.
