Southern Party National Convention
May 25, 2000 - SPT

An exiting new third party arrives on the scene. The Southern Party, established in 1999 will hold it's first national political convention in Charleston SC on June 30th to July 1st, 2000.

It is dedicated to limited federal government in favor of States’ Rights, elimination of IRS personal income tax, return of individual liberties stolen by Federal Agencies, gun rights, local control of our schools and an end to most treaties including the United Nations, NAFTA and WTO. These programs are combined with support for neutrality with a strong defense and protection for the roots and cultural heritages of all races in the South.

This event will make political history because it will be the first secessionist political convention since the 1860 Charleston Secession Convention 140 years ago to advocate the legitimate, constitutional right of secession as a means to counter the growth and the abuse of power by the Washington Federal bureaucracy.

Had enough from Washington, D.C. yet? All Americans in favor of less government, more freedom and a return to the constitutional republic established by our founding fathers are invited to attend. Conservatives, libertarians and constitutionalists along with members of most Southern organizations including the Sons of Confederate Veterans, League of the South, UDC, and various heritage protection organizations will attend. Be there. This is the first real political action in a long time. Your vote and your support won’t be wasted here. It will help build a future of freedom for us all.
