Aaron Studwell - Treasurer

Aaron Studwell is currently serving his first term as Treasurer of the Southern Independence Party (SIP) of Texas. He has been a member of the Southern Movement since May 1999, when he first learned of the SIP in a Washington Times article. Aaron’s goal for the Party is to achieve financial stability while becoming a major player in State politics.

Aaron was raised in suburban Maryland and then went to the University of Michigan to earn his Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering in December 1987. After that, he returned to Maryland and worked first as a Mission Analyst at NASA-Goddard and then as a Systems Engineer on the Strategic Defense Initiative. He returned to Michigan to be with the woman who is now his wife and worked as a Systems Engineer on antilock brake systems for General Motors.

Tiring of engineering, Aaron attended Texas A&M University and earned a Masters degree in Meteorology in August 1995. Since then, he has worked as an environmental engineering consulting firm for large industrial clients. Aaron assisted them with both State and Federal regulatory issues. Most recently, he has been the Director of Research and Chief Meteorologist for two of the top twenty largest energy marketing companies in the nation.

Aaron, his wife Jennie and their son reside in Cypress, Texas.
